Meet Your Family Ambassador!

My name is Margaret Howell and I am in my third year as Family Ambassador at Oakland Park Elementary for the 2025-2026 school year.  I am a parent of a 2004 Northland High School graduate and grandparent of a current Oakland Park Elementary 1st grader.  My role is to be a bridge between the school and the home.  I will do my best to help communicate important information and point caregivers to those who can best answer questions.  

Oakland Park Elementary supports Pre-K through 5th grade. Elementary is an important time of exploration and discovery for our students.  Many of our students are leaving the comforts of home for the first time; which can be scary. We are here to ensure that families and students feel supported and seen. We see our role as advocates as a crucial part of student success.  

The goal that I work towards each day is for every student/family to be visible, welcome, connected, and contributing to our school community.  I am very open to new ideas for how to do this!  Please feel free to contact me at my email address listed below.  I look forward to a wonderful school year together!
